Beyond a Hopeless Horizon

While Eaglesnest and Journeypike continued to route those retreating, Forestnett led a group o knights to raise tents for the wounded to take shelter. Mayfly continued to look after Kaidan with Cho, as he was finally in a restless, feverish sleep. Among the wounded, outside of the shade was Wholeheart trying to find a ray of happiness. While looking away from Love, the rain seemed to follow northeast over the army of Backlash. A glint in the distance directed Wholeheart’s eyes toward two large groups forming around from the south east. One of the groups was in rags while while the other was a battalion of purple knights.

“Have we come too late sire?” said Hax, not bothering to salute.

“It seems this battle was already won,” said the Duke.
